I was a huge fan of Country Music at one point in my life. It was honest music.
I still like it, when it's done well...but it rarely is.
Here's Gary Stewart, one on the best goddamned C&W artists to ever come down the pike.
Country Music, when it was damned good, bridged a gap between what was damned good and what was damned sad. It was Blues Music...in a different vernacular.

If you find yourself in a Country bar...the jukebox ain't worth a goddamned if if doesn't have this song:
I can't be myself when I'm with you.....
What a fantastic song....but if you can find Steve Young's version...it's even better
But here's some some Steve Young...Don't Think Twice
Some more Waylon.....
If You don't like Country Music....you've never really heard good Country Music. Not the real deal, anyway. When it's honest, and true...it's a pretty good genre.
