Many of us want a major front-page presence for enviornmental issues here on Daily Kos, and Kos himself has recently published two diaries that in toto say, "nobody's interested," "but we'd do it if we had anyone interested in writing them."
I strongly disagree that there is little concern. Every liberal-minded person I know has the environment on the back burner of their consciousness like a forest fire. But the "accessible" battles get most of the focus, and the time, and the money. Just like firearm regulation in the last decade, it is a mission becalmed.
We should boycott other diaries: not spitefully or totally, but in protest to demonstrate the depth and breadth of this issue. The site admins track every last scrap of info on clicks, shares, comments, etc... will it be noticed if the next Kos diary gets no comments or recs? I'm off to work, let me know what you think, and I'll chime back in later.
