They're out to get us!
For those too busy to keep up with the meta nonsense that is a constant undercurrent on this site, there's a new group called HOF. The initials stand for Hair On Fire. Apparently the group republishes diaries that the members consider to be exemplary of that state of mind. Or, as their profile states:
HAIR ON FIRE!!!!! OMFG, my world's crumbling because __, because Obama, ____. OR
That's pretty much it. A group formed as a bit of snark. Worth, at most, an indulgent chuckle or an indifferent shrug. Or so I thought.
Apparently, this is a grossly mistaken judgement. It seems that HOF is actually far more insidious and nefarious than that feeble perception would suggest. At least some people think so, as I discovered when I read the following comment.
To summarize, the commentor believes that HOF isn't just four Kossacks out to have a bit of snarky fun. No, the reality is far more sinister. HOF is actually an attempt to "institutionalize" the suppression of all criticism of the President and Democrats generally. Worse, the "administration" at DKos is conniving in this assault.
Clearly Kos' recent high profile criticism of the President and Democrats was nothing more than a blind to put us off our guard. Obviously Kossacks such as Meteor Blades, Hunter, Laura Clawson, et al, are in on it as well. The front paging of cartoonists like Brian McFadden is just more misdirection. It couldn't be more obvious. To the barricades! HOF must be suppressed!
Or maybe, just maybe, someone is lending unintended credence to HOF's snark.
It's hard to know whether to laugh or cry.
