They just love him. Did you see the press conference today?
I never thought the day would come when I would wholeheartedly agree with anything David Gregory would have to say. David, I now pronounce thee, sage.
"...the President does not particularly like the Washington press corps. And I think that feeling is mutual in a lot of respects....there's not a great relationship between that Washington establishment and the President."

Of course, what Gregory really wanted to acknowledge was: WE HATE THIS PRESIDENT!
It has now become abundantly clear that the only scorched feet the media wants to see are those of Barack Obama...or anybody who can be his stand-in. You know, say Van Jones... or Eric Holder...or Susan Rice. Barack Obama alone is responsible for every ill which plagues this country. But back to the lovefest as it unfolded in front of our very eyes.
John Boehner had a press conference today. The purpose was to announce to the world, yet again, that their sole mission was to make damn sure that Barack Obama is denied a legacy. Yes, despite the results of the recent general elections, the GOP is hellbent on repealing Obamacare. The Tan Man came prepared with his props - pages and pages of The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) - and launched into his prepared speech about the "job killing" Obamacare and how it must be repealed because the GOP is all about jobs (gag!) and the American people, American people.
I patiently sat through all of that because I know that the press corps will be tearing into him pretty soon. I am going to be enjoying this. Popcorn please!
I cannot identify the journalists/reporters who asked the questions nor the media houses they represent. I cannot find a transcript.
The Speaker was asked around nine questions. The tone of the questions was deferential and low keyed. This is what I heard (questions not necessarily in order they were asked):
1) About HR 959 (?).
2) Could there be a backlash for over-reaching in their desire to repeal HCR.
3) Same as no. 2 - backlash?
4) Your alternative to Obamacare?
5) Basically a rephrasing of no. 4.
6) Immigration
7) President says he will not negotiate over debt ceiling. Your reaction?
Now for the sweet questions:
8)
In light of what's happen with Benghazi, AP and IRS, do you still trust president Obama?
9)
"How can you channel the momentum from all these scandals and use it legislatively?
Will it affect your legislative agenda?"
These are the nation's top journalists/reporters at work.
We should be so grateful, shouldn't we?
