Yesterday, we received baseball sized hail. I would post an image, but my spouse removed our extra hard drive for pictures, to store, because today we are expecting more of the same.
I positively loathe the thought of going out the garden to see if any of my tomato plants made it through yesterday's hail.
If you live in the areas that are known to be in the path of developing storms today, please take proper precautions to ensure your safety.
Keep an eye on the sky.
Keep a radio handy.
Keep your phone charged.
And take note of public or private storm shelters that might be available to you, throughout your day's travels, should you need to take cover.
Yesterday was a day of violent, long-track, sometimes multiple-vortice tornadoes. We have another day, that could possible go like that today. Though honestly, the very large hail could be bad enough, all by itself.

The flip side to some of this, is that our lakes and streams and ponds are filling up. I saw two bats in my yard the other night--at the same time! I hear lots of different amphibian calls at night, some I don't even recognize. Rain-Water is good.
Be safe everyone.
12:15 PM PT: And here we go---stuff is already firing in the SW part of the state and moving NE.
