For the last week, Sen. Pat Leahy's Judiciary Committee has been marking up the Gang of 8's proposal for comprehensive immigration reform. Some excellent pro-family, pro-equality amendments (largely from Sen. Mazie Hirono) have been considered - and many of them are actually getting approved.
