Bloomberg and an anti-gun group also received the terroristic letters. The woman from Texas initially called the FBI on her husband in order to blame him.
A Texas woman has been arrested in connection with the mailing of three letters containing ricin to President Barack Obama, New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg and the director of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, federal authorities said.

Apparently she is an actress
“Vampire Diaries” and “Walking Dead” actress Shannon Rogers Guess has made headlines after accusing her husband of sending ricin to New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and President Obama. In an unsuspected twist, her estranged husband, Nathaniel Richardson, is now claiming that he’s been set up by his pregnant wife.
Nathaniel Richardson and Shannon Rogers Guess claim to be filing for divorce following their ricin accusations.
Guess, 36, reported her Army veteran husband to authorities when she discovered a container of ricin in her Texarkana, Texas, home last week. “She thought he was injecting it into her food and drinks,” Guess’ 19-year-old son, Branden, revealed to the New York Post. “She told me she was trying to be as careful as possible. She didn’t eat unless it was straight from the store to her hand, basically.” Her fears were fueled when the couple’s home computer turned up searches for how to make ricin and an order for castor beans.
Turning her husband in, authorities were unable to hold Richardson due to lack of evidence. Richardson is now claiming that the couple filed for divorce and that his wife set him up
“He told them we filed [for divorce], but we haven’t yet. But after all this, I will be soon,” said Shannon Guess. She added that her soon to be ex-husband is “racist and hates Obama.”
Here is an excerpt from the letters sent foaming with second amendment remedies.
"You will have to kill me and my family before you get my guns," each mailing reads. "Anyone wants to come to my house will be shot in the face. The right to bear arms is my constitutional God-given right and I will exercise that right 'til the day I die. What's in this letter is nothing compared to what I've got planned for you."
