Below is a new list of 38 WalkerBots working in a coordinated effort to spam the hashtag #wiunion by collectively sending automated tweets every 3-5 seconds. Most of the accounts were created within the past four days (after over a dozen other Walkerbots were suspended by Twitter) and follow each other.

Some of the Walkerbots match names of people who signed the Walker recall petition with the state's court database and then tweet the person's name and the "criminal" activity" such as OWI, speeding ticket, seat belt violation, or improper left turn. These tweets link to the website of Put Wisconsin First, which is hosted by Go Daddy. Put Wisconsin First makes no claims that the person who signed the recall is the same person listed in the circuit court's database.

Put Wisconsin First actively sought the creation of multiple accounts for disruptive or abusive purposes by tweeting multiple times under its now suspended Twitter account: “Subscribe to the PWF twitter system & send Recaller/Donation tweets yourself... Ask me how.” Go Daddy is clear that sites they host can not be used as an open relay or a SMS gateway.

Other bots tweet the names of donors and the amount they donated to Wisconsin Democrat candidates and Wisconsin grassroots organizations; or the names, year of birth, place of employment and salary of state and city employees. However, there are no source attributions for those tweets.

Most of the accounts are alleged parodies of existing contributors to the #wiunion hashtag. Some are using trade-protected logos or personal photos of the person they are "parodying."

I don't expect this list to remain current for very long:

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
