Remember; I was one of the first ones to coin the title of the movie about the exploits of Edward Snowden (pun intended)! By now, this incredible story has already earned the rights to be made into one of the most fascinating spy thrillers in a generation...
Now, let me get serious... I'm not going to opine on whether Snowden is hero or villain. In fact, for the purpose of this diary, I'm going to stipulate that that question is irrelevant.
I just want this mot#%6@ucker to get away, and outsmart the seemingly omniscient eye of the Orwellian and corporate-owned American total-information-awareness surveillance police state.
When I think about the Guantánamo base prisoners currently being tortured, and about how Aaron Swartz was pushed to commit suicide by blood-thirsty prosecutors, and about the countless days and nights Bradly Manning was subjected to cruel treatment by his military jailers, holding him in solitary confinement, making him parade around naked, requiring him to stand in attention for four days, forced to sleep naked without bed sheets, and many other abuses, and I contrast that to the crimes of real monsters, like the Bush administration war criminals, and the Wall Street criminal cartel, it makes me want to root for Snowden...
Yes, currently he is a fugitive of the U.S. The Booz Allen-run for-profit national security establishment wants him bad. They want to set an example: if you see something, say nothing, if that something is being done by functionaries of the corrupt surveillance police state.
Run Snowden Run... There are millions of people looking forward to learning more about how the for-profit surveillance state is being used to spy on law-abiding citizens.
Godspeed!
