I'm not comfortable with ... an ever warming planet due to the march of Climate Change.

I'm not comfortable with ... an ever more ineffective Congress that denies the realities of Science.

I'm not comfortable with ... a Supreme Court that sees fit to pick our President, instead of actually counting our votes.

I'm not comfortable with ... a Supreme Court that sees fit to empower Corporate interests with the biggest Microphones, without so much as requiring their names.

I'm not comfortable with ... going to war with countries who did not attack us, instead of going after the criminals who did.

I'm not comfortable with ... going to war with individual targets who might attack us, and so enrage everyone who once knew them, the inevitable collateral causalities.

I'm not comfortable with ... surrendering our Constitutional principles, to the insidious pleadings of unnamed, unseen, and unchecked surveillance operations.

I'm not comfortable with ... with trading our hard won Constitutional heritage, to the false promises of quick and easy security, from the "bad guys."

I'm not comfortable with ... ever more greedy Bankers, getting away with slaps on wrists, all the while continuing to expel us from our homes.

I'm not comfortable with ... ever more greedy Corporations, getting away with paying next to no taxes and hiring too few citizens, all the while continuing to extract from the earth the last remnants of our natural heritage.

.
.
.

I'm just not comfortable with ... how calloused and jaded Americans have become with it all.

I'm just not comfortable with ... the way things have been going, which is far far too often, decidedly downhill.  Despite all the good intentions to the contrary.

None of us should become comfortable and complacent with ... that.  The fact that this fear-driven lack of progress ... has somehow become our new austerity norm.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
