Last night, AZ Sphinx Moth and I hosted an Old Time music jam at our house. We have a good view of the fireworks from our front yard, as well as a really nice porch, and a good livivng room for a jam, in case of weather.
Sphinx Moth made the goodies...a Greek yogurt, cucumber dip made from the first cucmber from her world famous strawbale garden, with garlic and dill that she grew, to finish it off. She and our grand-daughter made festive chocolate cupcakes, with strawberry, blueberry, and white icing stars for topping. Various liquid refreshments, chips, etc. rounded out the spread.
One of the really fun things about the meeting was that we officially met Itsadryheat, by accident. He was one of the guests, and we had met before, but it wasn't until he saw the garden, and recognized AZ Sphinx Moths work, that he put two and two together, and figured out who we were. I had been to his house, but in another jam situation, and even though I knew where Itsadryheat lived, I never made the connection.
So we had music in the living room, and then moved to the front porch, and then watched the fireworks, and then stuffed ourselves with some really good food. One of these days, we'll have to try it again and get Paul Ferguson to join us...I think that might be a quorum.
Hope everyone else had a festive fourth!
