Probably do it at WalMart while drunk to complete the trifecta.
Oh, sure. I've been living on my own since I was sixteen years old. Sometimes I lived with someone, but it's always been with another woman, so, ya know. Easy target.
And yet somehow I've managed to stay safe without a gun. Safer without a gun, to be precise.
But I now realize the folly of my ways. Gun ownership is practically compulsory now.
Consider this scenario:
I'm walking home from work at 2 am (as I used to do when I was 19). Creepy dude starts stalking me. I confront him and kick him in the nuts, so he shoots me.
He claims self-defense, I die for walking.
OR I'm walking home from work, same creepy dude stalks me, I turn around and shoot him and I claim self-defense. I walk and the creep is dead. Win-win.
Easy-peasy. The one brandishing the gun has a right to self-defense. The unarmed one has no such right, and can be shot it they defend themselves with a sidewalk, since that is now a deadly weapon.
......Oh, wait. I'm white.
I don't have to worry about this.
