Tuesday!
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. It's also so we can find other Kossacks nearby for in-person checks when other methods of communication fail - a buddy system. Members come here to check in. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we and your buddy are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
We have split up the publishing duties, but we welcome everyone in IAN to do daily diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!
Ok, we have a current diary schedule. If you would like to fill in, either post in thread or send FloridaSNMom a Kosmail with the date. If you need someone to fill in, ditto. FSNMom is here on and off through the day usually from around 9:30 or 10 am eastern to around 11 pm eastern.

Well,
here we are again,
another bigjac Tuesday.
Our backyard garden is doing well;
it rained for hours,
at least two inches of rain,
yesterday,
so it should keep growing like crazy,
for a week or so,
without me watering with grey water
from the washer.
Great news inside the bigjac and Tonia house,
as well:
Tonia and I may get to move into the master bedroom,
maybe within a week or so.
Her brother, Michael,
is moving out,
to get some privacy with his new girlfriend from Colorado.
The master bedroom has its own little bathroom,
saving steps for Tonia and I.
It's also on the same level as the kitchen;
the room we're in now
is three short steps down from the main house level.
Three short steps up,
to the kitchen,
may not sound like much,
but taking those steps every time we need
any little thing from the fridge,
wears me down.
Tonia is heavy, and has bad knees,
so she rarely takes those steps up,
to inventory the fridge.
By the way,
a little trivia
about the name of our favorite kitchen appliance:
The full name,
refrigerator,
has no "d" in it at all.
But our nickname for it
has a "d,"
apparently because
"frig"
would simply not sound right
in our mind's ear.
Or at least not mine.
So,
even though I hate certain colloquial terms,
I accept "fridge."
But I can't stand
"ginormous."
Have a great day,
but great or not,
tell us about it.
We're here to listen.
