I'm away for blueberry season until September, so Sunday Puzzle is on summer re-runs... summer recess.
Apologies for the change in plan from re-runs to recess. I thought I'd be able to queue up a series of JulieClassics -- some of the earliest JulieCrostics posted here by Sunday Puzzle founder Julie Waters -- before taking off for blueberries. But unfortunately (a) I ran out of time before I needed to leave, and (b) I forgot to e-mail myself the notes I'd made about the puzzles which might have enabled me to queue up a few more now.
Sunday Puzzle Warm-Up, however, will continue to post in my absence. Those puzzles aren't as challenging as the ones which appear in the regular Sunday Puzzle, but if you're looking for a puzzle fix those should provide a few moments of fun each week.
And there's a bonus feature to be found in the Sunday Puzzle Warm-Up diaries this summer. Julie loved music and was an accomplished musician. In her honor Sunday Puzzle Warm-Up is featuring Songfest Summer with puzzles spotlighting great songs. Each week you'll get not only a new puzzle but also a YouTube clip of the song featured in the previous week's puzzle. Mental exercise with a musical background! (So even if don't need any puzzles to practice on, you might still enjoy dropping by.)
Tonight's diary has the answer to last week's JulieClassic. My apologies that there isn't also a puzzle and that Sunday Puzzle is going on hiatus. But it and I should be back Sunday September 15. I hope you all have a great summer, and I'm looking forward to seeing you again then!
