This week's
Colbert Report was to feature "StePhest Colbchella '013," a tribute to summer music festivals, ending with what is arguably the hottest band of the summer, Daft Punk.
Unfortunately for Stephen Colbert, after much hype and promotion that Daft Punk was to appear on the show, contractual obligations to MTV prevented the band from appearing. Obviously disappointed with the last-minute cancellation, Colbert turned those lemons into Daft Punk lemonade with an all-star supporting cast, even convincing Henry Kissinger to appear.
Check out the video below the fold.
Colbert may never win So You Think You Can Dance, but he just might have the best job in the world.
Update: Lots of people talking about the awesome Robin Thicke appearance in the next segment. You can view it here.
