The RR company responsible for the Lac-Megantic disaster has filed for Chapter 11 and similar bankruptcy in Canada today.

Major unsecured creditors include two MM&A parent companies run by Mr. Burkhardt, which are claiming a total of $1-million.
This includes a $785,958 indemnity to Rail World Inc. of Des Plaines, Ill., in case MM&A is hit with wrongful-death litigations.
The other claim from a Burkhardt-managed company, Rail World Locomotive Leasing, is for $221,050.
Secured Creditors include the US Government from a 2005 loan.
