Good luck to her. Liberal Democrats in Idaho can't win.
Looks like the Idaho Democratic Party is starting to have some activity. Long-time State Senator Shirley Ringo has announced her intention to challenge Rep. Raul Labrador in 2014 in Idaho's 1st Congressional District.

BOISE (AP) — Longtime Idaho state Rep. Shirley Ringo said she will challenge two-term incumbent Congressman Raul Labrador for the 1st Congressional District seat next year.
Ringo, a former high school math teacher from Moscow who is in her seventh term in the Idaho House, made the announcement Monday.
"I think that we need to get people back in Washington, D.C., that really understand what you might call the art of politics . trying to work with people with other ideas to reach some sort of resolution," Ringo said.
Ringo will definitely need all the help she can get in 2014. Being the red state it is, in Idaho's 1st Congressional District election in 2012, Democratic challenger to Congressman Labrador then, Jimmy Farris, only got 30% of the votes.

However, Shirley Ringo is not deterred. She's also heard complains from Republicans she's been in contact with in Idaho who are not pleased with the extremist positions of the party:

As part of Idaho’s Democratic minority, Ringo acknowledged she’s facing an uphill battle but said she’s heard from Republicans who are unhappy with some of the positions taken by some GOP members.
In addition, Ringo believes Congressman Labrador is contributing to the problems of why Congress has such a low approval rating and can't get anything accomplished nowadays:

Ringo, a former high school math teacher who is in her seventh term in the Idaho House, made the announcement Monday. She says Congress has a low approval rating because lawmakers haven't managed to reach compromises and get things done, and she thinks Labrador is part of the problem.
Here's some more background on Shirley Ringo:

Ringo is a former Latah County Democratic Party chair and one of the most unabashedly liberal members of Idaho’s Legislature. She was an outspoken opponent of state school Superintendent Tom Luna’s Students Come First school reform laws, which voters rejected last year.
She said her legislative accomplishments have included influencing state budgets, helping struggling constituents who had problems with state agencies and passing legislation allowing victims of domestic violence to register to vote without making public their addresses.
First elected to the state House in 1998, Ringo said she’d already decided to not seek an eighth term in office in 2014 when she was approached by state Democratic Party Chairman Larry Kenck about the 1st District race.
I mean really, why not support a Democratic challenger to Congressman Labrador who cannot even make an effective argument for the sequester?
