This happened during the homebound rush hour on the Connecticut bound train of Metro North on Thursday evening:
A man robbed a teller at a bank in Greenwich CT. He "implied" he had a gun but as it turned out he was unarmed. The evening news report said it was 'unknown' how much money he got away with, which means probably very little - a couple of bills out of the teller's drawer most likely.
In what could be considered an insane overreaction by 'police', if American police forces weren't highly over-militarized, a SWAT team armed in vest, riot gear and assault rifles, and even what looks like a canine unit, commandeered a commuter train looking for the man, who actually fled on foot. The train was stopped for an hour before being allowed to resume service, during which police searched the train and commuters were ordered to duck their heads down and hands up - as if they were all criminals.
Then he and other commuters saw about a dozen police cars and officers with rifles and police dogs. "So for a brief moment, everybody was pretty freaked out," Stymacks said.
You might find this is a bit of an overreaction but Greenwich CT is
home to at least 3 of Wall St's richest banksters. You know, the ones who committed fraud and crimes and stole billions from America. But they're not the ones being pursued by police dogs and assault weapon armed cops, the guy who stole a few bills and innocent bystanders, is.
