Happy Labor Day to all who have the day off of work,
Bosses from Hell. Nearly everyone's had 'em. Years ago, I waited tables for a small yacht club in the San Francisco bay area.
As with most eateries, we had a revolving door line-up of Dining Room Managers. "Jokerboy" was a failed local stand up comedian who made his main living managing restaurants, his last having fired him for [Redacted]. Right off the bat, I pissed him off by telling him I liked to listen a local morning show that his stand up performance had been dissed by a professional comic.
Shortly thereafter, I watched him steal part of a co-worker's tip off her table and told her about it. She, in turn, reported him to the General Manager and he was told to cut it out. Since he'd seen me watch him do it, he knew who had ratted him out, and from then on, my name was mud.
He made my life hell. He even attempted to harm me, once dropping a glass gallon jug of wine on top of my head from a high shelf. Not showing any remorse or concern but bewilderment, he merely replied I had "an awfully hard head".
Yeah, he was a real SOB. When he was fired after a couple years, my co worker and I literally danced around the kitchen singing, "ding, dong, the witch is dead"

Last year, a study was done indicating bad bosses are bad for business, hampering productivity. As republicans love to tell us running the country is like running a business, it's curious why so many voters continue to hire "bad bosses" who see no wrong in hampering the productivity of the country.
According to this study, bad bosses are twice as likely to exit than average-quality bosses. Our country's productivity has been suffering for a long time. It's time to push as many republicans out as we can and Democrat's need to be mindful of restless, unemployed people who are tired of hearing about jobs being offshored.
