Thought you might want to look at McCain in yesterday's Townhall Meeting here and here and here
I have just seen the AP clip I can't show here, but that's what McCain said in there:
SOUNDBITE (English) John McCain, US Republican Senator for Arizona:
"So I want to begin by saying to you that I am unalterably opposed to having a single American boot on the ground (hecklers: "not good enough..".."let him speak.") in Syria."
"There's no contemplation of having American boots on the ground. The American people wouldn't stand for it, and second of all, it would not be anything but counter productive to do that. And American blood and treasure is too precious to do that."

If we open the door to the use of chemical weapons, and allow it to go on unresponded to, then I think that that sends a signal to other people that want to use them that they can do so with impunity."

SOUNDBITE (English) No name available, audience member from Syria who supports US intervention in Syria:
"We need some help, the only help we get is America. America is a big power, super power, and we need you, if we don't help Syria, he's (President Assad) going to kill half of the nation. There is seven (m) million people left at home, seven (m) million. Let these people go back to their homes, he will kill them all."
SOUNDBITE (English) No name available, audience member opposed to US intervention in Syria:
"I feel for Syria and the situation that is going on over there, and a lot of innocent people getting murdered and children getting murdered, and I can't help when I heard that, what about Mexico, and the Cartels and everybody chopping off heads, over there, but we are not going over there. It makes me think that there is an ulterior motive, somewhere, some at the bottom line that there is other political agendas."
May be listen to the Veterans a bit would do you some good.
