"Der Spiegel" reports this morning that the ( "Boulevard Newspaper for German Dummies" ) Die Bildzeitung" says that Assad Commanders Wanted to use Chemical Weapons Since Months - German Spy Ship eavesdropped Radio Traffic of Syrian Troops The German Spy ship "Oker", which navigates near the shores of Syria, has caught radio voice signal messages that Syrian military commanders have tried to pressure Assad since four months to use chemical weapons in the Syrian civil war.
Die Bildzeitung based its reports on sources from the German Intelligence Services's tapping specialists. According to them Assad refused their demands for chemical weapons usage; they believe that the usage of those weapons on August 21 most probably was NOT authorized by Assad. In addition the BND (German Intelligence Service) thinks that Assad might hold on to power still for a long time to come.
With or without US military intervention, reports the Bildzeitung, BND President Gerhard Schindler said in a closed meeting of the German Bundestag's (Lower House of German Parliament) Defense Committee, that the bloody civil war in Syria can go on for years.
Well, now. .... does that make any difference ? And why does Schindler comes out with this only now, when they had tapped this radio traffic since months?
