I enjoy watching Senator Shit Kicker sweat:

Sen. John Cornyn's (R-TX) reelection campaign is airing a new ad warning of the consequences of Democrats taking control of Texas.
The one-minute ad envisioned what would happen if Democrats took control of the state legislature and other offices and passed a host of Democratic-favored policies like a new state income tax and new environmental regulations. A voiceover in the ad said Texans would leave the state and the economy would suffer.
"President Obama and his liberal allies want to turn Texas blue," Cornyn said in the ad. "But what does that mean? Look at California and Detroit. It means higher taxes, higher unemployment and a government drowning in debt. As your senator and a proud Texan I'll continue to take the fight to President Obama, to keep Texas strong and on the path to prosperity and freedom." - TPM, 9/30/13
Cornyn has every right to be worried. These days, no one likes him. Not the Tea Party:

For Texas’ senior senator, John Cornyn, refusing to join Cruz’s crusade has invited the wrath of tea partiers.
“I assure you that I try to make the decisions I make based on the merits and not based on political risk,” Cornyn said Thursday, shrugging off the potential backlash.
So far, Cornyn — the party’s deputy Senate leader — faces no serious opposition as he heads into a bid for a third six-year term.
But Cruz allies say his stance won’t be forgotten.
“A primary challenge against John Cornyn is much more likely today than it was two months ago,” said Matt Hoskins, executive director of the Senate Conservatives Fund, a group that targets GOP lawmakers it deems too moderate. “He’s really put his race in play.”
Tea party leaders in Texas likewise see brewing anger, but no one to harness it.
“If the right candidate showed up, Senator Cornyn would have a fight on his hands, and a fight his money wouldn’t protect him from,” said JoAnn Fleming, a Tyler-based activist and executive director of Grassroots America. “I do believe Senator Cornyn could be retired next year, based on this alone.”
Tea party activists lit up the phone lines at the Capitol ahead of Friday’s vote. Cornyn’s Facebook page overflowed with pleas, insults and taunts. - Dallas News, 9/26/13
Glenn Beck doesn't like him:

“So the Peter Kings of the world and John McCains, are you surprised ‑‑ not with John McCain, but are you surprised by the way they have come out?” Beck asked Cruz.
“You know, Glenn, actually I’m not,” Cruz said. “Everyone who wants to preserve the status quo, everyone who is not willing to fight to defund Obamacare, what they’re trying to do is they want to change the subject and then the most common tactic they like is to change the subject and make it all about personality, make it about personal attacks and so, you know, the two things you’re pointing out are connected.”
Later in the interview, Beck went after Cruz’s Republican colleague from Texas, Sen. John Cornyn, who has declined to support Cruz’s scheme of shutting down the government to stop Obamacare, saying, “Now let me ask you this: John Cornyn, piece of crap or what?” . Raw Story, 9/27/13
FreedomWorks is pissed at him:
http://trailblazersblog.dallasnews.com/...
Two powerful Texas Republicans are hitting back at FreedomWorks, which has accused them of working with Democrats to protect funding for Obamacare.
Rep. Pete Sessions of Dallas called that a “blatant misrepresentation.” An aide to Sen. John Cornyn said the attacks are only encouraging his supporters.
The influential tea party group targeted the House Rules Committee Chairman and deputy Senate GOP leader this week along with a handful of other top Republicans. It accuses both of undermining Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in his crusade to defund the health care law.
“Ironically, Sessions’ desperation to retain power may cause him to lose it,” FreedomWorks asserted, noting that tea party activist Katrina Pierson of Garland recently announced she’ll challenge him in the GOP primary next spring.
The group’s complaint against Cornyn –aired in today’s DMN story exploring tea party views of the senior senator – is that, like Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., he has rejected Cruz’s effort to tie Obamacare funding to the expiring federal budget. Cornyn has argued for months that threatening a government shutdown is bad tactics, while insisting he wants very badly to end Obamacare. - Dallas News, 9/27/13
And of course Ted Cruz (R. TX) wants nothing to do with him:
http://www.politico.com/...
“I would say the recent events would probably run counter to that narrative,” Cornyn said in an interview Tuesday with a big chuckle in his whip office just steps from the Senate floor.
Indeed, over the past several weeks, Cornyn and Cruz found themselves increasingly at odds in a tense public battle over whether to use a potential government shutdown as leverage to defund Obamacare. After initially signing on to Cruz’s effort, Cornyn withdrew his support and became a leading critic of the tactic, helping quash any momentum his colleague hoped to gain on the Senate floor this week.
Cruz, who spent all night on Tuesday using a floor speech to deride the health care overhaul, has attacked his GOP colleagues for cowering in the fight over Obamacare. He’s increasingly alienated from most Senate Republicans, who believe his tactics have hurt their party politically and put them in a weaker negotiating position with the White House.
But he has also made things more personal for Cornyn.
He refuses to publicly endorse Cornyn, the Senate’s No. 2 Republican, in his reelection bid, a highly unusual move for a senator from the same state and party. That has infuriated Cornyn allies who see it as a slight that will come back to haunt Cruz should he run for president in 2016 or need Cornyn’s help in the future.
What’s more irritating to Cornyn allies is that behind the scenes, Cruz has quietly tried to help his senior colleague even though he won’t publicly commit to endorsing him. Cruz’s political action committee donated $2,500 to Cornyn’s reelection effort, and the freshman even attended a fundraiser for his colleague last weekend in South Texas where the two men went dove hunting with big donors. - Politico, 9/25/13
Emphasis mine.
Wow. These guys were made for each other. The Shit Kicker Brothers everyone. And the only way to distract the Tea Party nuts is by trying to scare them into believing Democrats could take over the state next year. And we could (fingers crossed for Wendy Davis). They're scared and after tonight, they should really be scared.
