What better way to prove your commitment to proper health care for Americans than by shuttering the national flu vaccine program and stopping food safety inspections?  Clearly, right wing conservatives have your best interests in mind.

Keep in mind that a good number of Republicans, even some known for being fairly loopy themselves, think the right wing House Republicans have gone off the deep end.  And if you think this is government at its worst, just wait for the debt ceiling wrangling.

I know there's a tendency to want to throw up your hands and blame both sides or blame "Congress," but this time, it's pretty clear cut.  When Pete King and Trent Lott think you're nuts, you are definitely nuts.  Enjoy the animation, like, share, comment and don't forget to stockpile food and disaster supplies.

Right Wing Productions presents . . .

Sammy Salmonella in Politics & Pestilence!

[cute, stuffy-nosed, Sammy]

I'm Sammy Salmonella, your guide to the government shutdown!

Thanks to the shutdown, it'll be easier to get Salmonella, E Coli, or a number of infectious diseases!  [hack, cough]

We're not trying to kill you, we're just trying to prove a point!

The point is that Health Care Reform is eeeevil and we'll do anything to dismantle it!

Never mind that it's been in effect for over three years and will help millions of uninsured get health coverage.

We've got to stand up for our principles!

By stopping Food Safety Inspections!  (Which is where I come in.)

But unlike some, we're ready to compromise!

If you don't want Salmonella, you can have E Coli instead!

We're also shutting down the flu vaccination program at the CDC-- because we're confident viruses are also opposed to Obamacare, and will stand with us in opposition!

But it's not just about viruses, bacteria and diseases-- it's about eliminating paychecks, parks, death benefits, food and fire protection-- all to prove that health care reform is dangerous.

And really, both sides are responsible for the shutdown-- if by "both sides" you mean a handful of my right-wing friends on one side!

E Coli doesn't compromise, and neither does Sammy!

I'm sure once everything is taken away, and the Party of Pestilence reigns, you'll pull yourself up by your filthy, plague-covered bootstraps and thank us for saving you from the scourge of Health Care Reform!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
