A public meeting to discuss possible disciplinary action against wingnut Police Chief Mark Kessler of Gilberton, PA ended abruptly tonight about an hour into the meeting when one of Kessler's supporters accidentally dropped a gun on the floor of the crowded meeting room. According to Kessler's lawyer, the meeting will be rescheduled since he did not feel safe cross-examining witnesses after the incident with the errant gun.
According to reports on twitter, a couple dozen people packed into the town's meeting room, which is located on the grounds of the town's sewage treatment plant. Town leaders accused Kessler of mismanagement of the town's guns, improperly using the town's sales tax exemption to purchase tires for his Hummer, and failure to properly file crime reports required by the state of Pennsylvania.
At one point, lawyers for the town read transcripts from Kessler's internet radio show, and shared tidbits about cum guzzling, punting members of the borough council in the testicles, and not enforcing DUI laws. The meeting will reconvene in about two weeks, probably at the county courthouse.
This event was supposed to be the first gathering of the truckers Ride for the Constitution, which may or may not shut down the Washington beltway tomorrow in an attempt to overthrow the government of the United States. However, it appears that not a single trucker showed up for Kessler's hearing, although several non-trucker supporters did.
Other breaking news: There is no more room for irony anywhere in the universe. The universe's entire irony capacity has now been exceeded. Teabaggers, please stop. You're ruining it for the rest of us.
