AARP is seeking candidates for its nonpartisan, all-volunteer board of directors. Directors may serve up to four two-year terms. Governance experience is strongly preferred.
Each year directors attend five board meetings and a retreat. Apply through Oct. 31 at aarp.org/board application.

AARP BOARD OF DIRECTIONS APPLICATION AND PROCESS
Thank you for your interest in serving on the AARP Board of Directors. The Open Call deadline for submission of applications is Oct. 31, 2013, and applications must be made using our online application system.
Interested candidates should follow these steps in applying:
Step 1: Review the Board Member Position Profile to self-evaluate against the selection criteria.
Step 2: Learn more about AARP by browsing the materials provided in the Candidate Resources section of this Web page[1].
Step 3: Review the Board of Directors application form in preparation for completing the application online.
Step 4: When you are ready to begin your online application, click here to start. Upon entering the online system you will be asked to create a login ID and password. You may save your work in the system and come back to it. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. * on Oct. 31, 2013.
