Just wondering if those here who predicted that this was really all about resurrecting the chained CPI and the "Grand Bargain"...
Or those who predicted that this was a "fascist putsch" by the Koch brothers and the corporate cartels that would succeed at throwing world financial markets into chaos, thus, delivering even more of the world's treasure into the hands of these super-wealthy "fascists"...
Or that, essentially, this was all a "kabuki theater" conspiracy cooked up by the corporatists from both parties to deliver for their moneyed elite paymasters...
Or...
Well, you get the picture.
So I'm just wondering if all those here who made those predictions would like a helping of barbecued crow I have prepared. It's a delicious crow with a spicy peach glaze.
And for dessert, some fresh humble pie.
But I doubt if anyone will show up to dine on this exquisite meal. Instead, we'll be treated to "Who, me?" and "The net result is more austerity!"
To be expected, I suppose.
That said, can we retire the phrase "kabuki theater" now?
Or, at the very least, "throw it under the bus?"
Thanks.
All those in favor of loosening our metallic lids so we can breathe again, please signal by saying, "Aye."
