President Obama went there in his statement on the reopening of the federal government just a short while ago:
...The challenge we have right now are not short-term deficits, it's the long-term obligations we have around Medicare and Social Security.
I knew this was coming once I heard that bipartisan budget negotiations would be part of the deal to end the federal government shutdown and advert a default on our country's national debt, but cuts to Social Security and Medicare will likely be part of any bipartisan budget deal.
Obama proposed cutting Social Security benefits earlier this year by proposing what is known as Chained CPI in his budget proposal earlier this year. This time, Obama has made it abundantly clear that he wants to sell out the heart and soul of the Democratic Party by cutting Social Security benefits that many seniors in this country depend on to survive.
Now, more than ever, it's time to fight back against President Obama's War on Social Security.
