The was a piece in the Washington Times Today titled:"Obama orders government to prepare for impact of global warming "Obama orders government to prepare for impact of global warming". This alarming news ignited a wave of Fright Wing poutrage generating close to 4,800 angry comments over this new Obama step toward the dictatorship they're convinced is the President's hidden agenda. The comments are unintentionally comical to match any Saturday nutpick-a-palooza.

Obama orders government to prepare for impact of global warming

With mounting evidence to the contrary and an ever increasing number of people and scientists standing against it, obama continues the "holy war" against capitalism, freedom and liberty in a mythical war that can easily be declared victorious.

The temerity and self-important chutzpah of BHO is HFL! (the H stands for hil, the L stands for larious, I’m sure you can figure out what the F stands for)

As we all know, if the ice pack melts it will flood the entire world. This is scientific fact. We also know this is true because God is a liar (he promised Noah he would never again destroy the world with a flood), Solomon was a fool (“all rivers run to the sea, yet the is not full” Ecclesiastes 1:7), and Obama is not only the greatest statesman, the greatest leader, the most truthful President who has ever served, he’s also the world’s greatest climatologist!

vespo08
What a crock of left wing radical crap! First it was Global Warming and the hysteria from the left whining about ice caps melting and the end of the world. When that didn't work and at the end of 2012 the polar ice caps grew by 65%, now the radical environmental socialists changed the vernacular to "Global Climate Change". Ooh if it rains more, if the northeast gets more snow, if Florida and Gulf Coast get hit by Hurricanes...imagine a weather cycle that brings different kinds of weather? How much is this ruse going to cost taxpayers and add to the $17 trillion debt? Obama just continues to ring up debt after debt and the Legislative branch of government doesn't do a damn thing!
YouHateMe
Obama is insane. Progs and idiots who think the Earths climate is predictable are also insane. They worship Gaia like Algore and are evil.
planet8788
I'm predicting a really cold and snowy winter this year... Probably followed by at least a couple more. Global warming will be completely discredited within 5 years. Here's why.

The sun's output is dropping like a rock.

A wealth redistributionist scheme cloaked in really bad science, invented at the UN to shift wealth from the producers to the indolent. As a president ,obama can only be described as evil and a threat to individual liberty. Seam coal fires burn all over the planet with a combined size of France.Till the geniuses figure out how to extinguish them, this is all BS. And they never will.

futurelife
LOL one of the biggest jokes put on man. AND a way to get taxes on Americans to pay more to the government to do what? Get higher wages while SS gets maybe $17.00 more of own money next year? People will fall for it though, stupid is out there. Has the older generation forgotten that we made it without the government. Have we spoiled the baby boomers to where they never taught the youth of today to be selfish and greedy? We need to get back to where the tax payers get their own money back and to stop giving it all to the government for greed and to give to the lazy.
FreedomFan
NONE of the "scientific" climate models predicted a nearly total absence global warming for the past 15 years. NONE.

So the Obammunist watermelons changed "Global Warming" to "Climate Change" because they still want to confiscate your money and your freedom.

Carl Mayo
i can guarantee you there's some evil and unconstitutional purpose behind this. an executive order in the hand of obama is a match in the hand of a pyromaniac.
lynnbaber
Obama and company are using the false crisis of "climate change" to justify taking over the country the same way Hitler used the "Jewish threat" in Germany. The illustration is accurate, don't blow a gasket just because I made a reference to Hitler. If the jack boot fits...

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

The one who claimed that those who simply accept the reality of global warming believe "if the ice pack melts it will flood the entire world" is possibly the biggest idiot. Then confirms it by asserting Noah's flood actually happened. There's not enough water to physically flood every bit of land. If this asshat believes there is, then he has nothing of value to contribute to the climate debate.

    •  It actually happened from the witnesses view (0+ / 0-)

c 16,000 BC the end of the last ice age began flooding what we now think of as the Persian Gulf, the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea and all the other waters in reasonable proximity to what would become the Fertile crescent.

By the Jemdet Nasr when chalcolithic civilizations bean to see what had been rivers become seas in and around the juncture of the Tigris and Euphrates the flooding was everywhere anybody who had the capability of making a written record had ever been.

When our children and grandchildren begin to see polar melting foreshortened from millenia to decades by things like methane hydrate releases on the order of three earth atmospheres it will flood about 90% of the Earth's cities because most of them were anciently located at river mouths.

    •  IQ is a bell curve (0+ / 0-)

The average intelligence is 100. One standard deviation is about 15 points. 40% of us are within one standard deviation of average with IQ's from 85 to 115.

That includes any category of occupation you decide to look at; Teachers, Judges, Politicians, Priests, Pundits, Scientists, and Engineers' even people working in the building trades, auto mechanics and surgeons.

People whose IQ is in the range of 75 are considered incapable of normal functioning; they wouldn't be considered capable of deciding right from wrong.

Most of us have difficulty understanding anything someone two standard deviations removed from us has to say.

If you are in the third standard deviation from normal you either have difficulty understanding what climate change is or why 96% of the rest of humanity isn't more concerned about climate change triggering an extinction event with us in it.

HAAARP, the global tinfoil antenna to capture bollocks

Back in the 1970s, Z. Brzezinski invoked in his Between Two Ages the theme of weather control, which he regarded as a form of broader social regulation. No doubt, the heavyweight of the US geopolitical thinking had to take interest not only in the immediate social but also in the potential geopolitical implications of influencing the climate. He was not the only author to probe into the issue but, due to obvious regards, information on the progress in the sphere of climate weaponry is unlikely to spill over secrecy barriers in the foreseeable future.

    M.  Chossudovsky, an economics professor from the Ottawa University, wrote in 2000 that in part the ongoing climate change could be triggered by the use of new-generation nonlethal weapons. The US is certainly exploring the possibilities of controlling the climate in several regions of the world. The corresponding technology is being developed in the framework of the High-Frequency Active Aural Research Program» (HAARP), the objective being to build a potential to launch droughts, hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes. From the military standpoint, HAARP is supposed to create a novel type of weapons of mass destruction and an instrument of expansionist policy which can be used to selectively destabilize environmental and agricultural systems of target countries. Technically, the system is known to be a set of sources of electromagnetic radiation affecting the ionosphere. It comprises 360 sources and 180 aerials having the height of 22 meters5. Altogether the station emits 3,600 kW towards the ionosphere, being the world's most powerful system of the kind. The program opened in 1990, is jointly funded by the US Office of Naval Research and the US Air Force Research Laboratory, and is implemented by several university laboratories.

  •  The reality is (7+ / 0-)

that our climate IS changing dramatically.  Just go stay in Nome Alaska this winter and talk with the locals.  Since the lower 48 states are in more temperate regions of the planet we do not see exactly how dramatic the changes are to our north.

yeah I am preaching to the choir but even the choir needs the reinforcement once in a while.

lakes that you could drive on in the winter 25 years ago have barely skimmed in the last 10 here in Southeast AK.

Obama just continues to ring up debt after debt and the Legislative branch of government doesn't do a damn thing!
When is someone going to explain to these people that the president of the United States does not "ring up" debt?

    and:

So the Obammunist watermelons changed "Global Warming" to "Climate Change" because they still want to confiscate your money and your freedom.
When are they going to figure out that global warming was not "made in the USA," but is an internationally recognized threat?

    And lastly:

When am I going to figure out that the facts are their talking points, not any liberoprogressiunist scientific mumbo jumbo?
