Time is a precious commodity. We're all born into this life with the clock ticking; every one of us has an expiration date. Unfortunately (or maybe, fortunately), none of us gets "best used by" stamped somewhere on our bodies.
Tonight, the clocks roll back. Fall is in full glory, and winter is on the horizon. That got me thinking about the theme for this evening - time.
There are obvious musical references to ticking clocks and the passage of our lives (and you really have to view this full screen and full volume if you can...):
...and there are, well, different kinds of "time" - as in, "Morris Day and The Time". This is a really cool tune, with Prince written all over it:
Time? How about thyme? As in, "parlsey, sage, rosemary, and..."
And, perhaps even, musical time. Dave Brubeck was famous for experimenting with various time signatures. "Take Five" is only one example:
So, as you prepare to roll your clocks back overnight, whatchoo got tonight? If you've got time to comment, we've got time to listen. And as always, don't feel time bound by the theme.
Rock on...
