Jon hosts serial plagiarist Doris Kearns Goodwin tonight, who will not talk about that and instead will whore her new book (possibly not plagiarized) The Bully Pulpit: Theodore Roosevelt, William Taft, and the Golden Age of Journalism.
Peter Baker is a likewise unsavory character who got his start at Sun Myung Moon's Washington Times before graduating to big league lying at the Washington Post. He's currently practicing his Rolodex suck up stenography at The New York Times.
So not much to watch on the guest front, we can only hope the segments are diverting enough to distract us from the catalog of fail on display.
For the rest of the week the line up looks like this-
The Daily Show
* Tuesday 11/12: Joe Scarborough
* Wednesday 11/13: Key & Peele
* Thursday 11/14: Geoffrey Rush
The Colbert Report
* Tuesday 11/12: David Christian
* Wednesday 11/13: Blind Boys of Alabama
* Thursday 11/14: Alexis Ohanian
I'm particularly looking forward to tomorrow when we can talk about Lori Klausutis, the dead intern found in Scarborough's office the discussion of which got Markos, yep, our Markos, permanently banned from future appearances on MSNBC. A 'liberal' network? Not so much you would notice.
But as always I don't have to write it to enjoy it. I'd be perfectly content for some fortunate volunteer to step forward and take a cut at this hanging curveball.
