Morgan Platt, a fourth grader from Avon, Connecticut, is being treated for cancer at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center. Morgan was diagnosed with a brain tumor (glioblastoma multiforme) in June of 2011.
10-year-old Morgan Platt has always dreamed big. After she was diagnosed with a brain tumor (glioblastoma multiforme) in June of 2011, she decided to fight back and inspire others along the way. Throughout her treatments, Katy Perry's song "Roar" has encouraged her to get back up and fight like a "champion." During one of her appointments at Connecticut Children's Medical Center, she decided to make a music video in hopes it would go viral and raise awareness about her condition and the other types of cancers being treated at Connecticut Children's.
Morgan along with other patients and staff at the hospital have produced this video to raise cancer awareness. Just a click on the youtube video link here will help lift Morgan's and other young patients' spirits. CLICK HERE to register a view on youtube.
Thank you. Have a great weekend everyone.
UPDATE: Channel 3 in Hartford has picked this up and has the title on their website: Young Cancer Patient Hopes Video Will Go Viral. Others are also posting this elsewhere but the video has already received over 1,500 views in less than an hour.
Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang, a camp for children coping with serious illnesses, shot the video.
