According to today's New York Time's article, G.O.P. Maps Out Waves of Attacks Over Health Law The GOP has been gearing up yet another wave of propaganda for the cowardice media to report verbatim, so they can prove for the gazillionth time they are not part of the "liberal media'.  From the 60 minutes "Benghazie" fiasco, to the countless false reports of people "losing' their insurance because Obama "lied", the media continues to simply repeat the countless lies the right wing propaganda machine spits out on a daily basis.

You would think they would have learned at least a little something after they regurgitated the right wing lies that led to the deaths and injuries of several thousand American soldiers and the robbing of our national treasury as we needlessly fought an unnecessary war in Iraq.  But apparently they've learned nothing, and now they are jumping on another pack of lies about how damaging Obamacare is.

Make no mistake, this isn't about disagreeing about policy, and mistakenly not knowing the facts, or simply a difference of opinion, it's a concerted effort to produce PROPAGANDA to mislead and misinform the American public.

Below the fold are quotes from the article.

The memo distributed to House Republicans this week was concise and blunt, listing talking points and marching orders: “Because of Obamacare, I Lost My Insurance.” “Obamacare Increases Health Care Costs.” “The Exchanges May Not Be Secure, Putting Personal Information at Risk.” “Continue Collecting Constituent Stories.”

The document, the product of a series of closed-door strategy sessions that began in mid-October, is part of an increasingly organized Republican attack on the Affordable Care Act, President Obama’s signature legislative initiative.

Now let's take a short break and look at a dictionary definition of PROPAGANDA.
information, esp. of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view.
So when the hell are Democrats going to call these Republicans out on what they are doing?  It's PROPAGANDA pure and simple and they should embarrass the media for reporting it as news!

more from the article:

Boehner and Representative Eric Cantor of Virginia, the majority leader. Mr. Borden’s task was to coordinate and monitor oversight activities across separate committees to make sure they are not overlapping or undercutting one another.

That aggressive campaign, which produced numerous hearings on the attacks in Benghazi, Libya, as well as on I.R.S. scrutiny of conservative groups, is now increasingly consumed by the health care fight.

Mr. Cantor and Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington, another member of the Republican leadership, have also leaned on all 231 House Republicans. A 17-page “House Republican Playbook” walks members through “messaging tools” like talking points, social media tactics and “digital fliers”; details lines of attack; offers up a sample opinion article for local newspapers; and provides an extensive timeline on the health care law and an exhaustive list of legislative responses that have gone nowhere.

But Republicans are already looking ahead to next year, when they expect a raft of new issues as people start using their new health plans.

“We’re trying to stay as agile as we can,” said Brendan Buck, a spokesman for Mr. Boehner. “We know what issues are coming. We know what the consequences will be. We can’t say when they will pop exactly, but we’re prepared to talk about them.”

It's PROPAGANDA and until the Democrats wise up and start calling it what it is, and start fighting it like the country's very survival depends on exposing it, we are going to continue to watch the Oligarch funded machine sway the uninformed into voting against their own, and the country's, interest.

Instead of running to abandon the ACA, like a bunch of Dems did last week when they supported the Republican measure to gut the ACA, they need to start fighting back!  Why aren't the Democrats talking about the remarkable progress has made in recent days, the remarkable decline in the rate of insurance cost rises, and all the other benefits that the ACA has already given to the public?  Why aren't they challenging the media to report these stories with the same vigor the media reported the roll out of  And I don't mean simply the Dem leaders giving a few interviews, they need an organized effort for everyone to get to every media outlet and counter the lies with the truth.

Second only to the massive amounts of money the oligarchs are spending on campaigns, the right wings control of the media through their PROPAGANDA machine is the biggest threat to our democracy.  The Democrats need to stop being cowards and letting the right wing control the media, and they need to start fighting back like our future depends on it, because it does!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
