Waving pictures of aborted fetuses to justify an assault with trans-vaginal probe was merely the beginning of the assault on women's freedom.
Now we have the assault on contraception justified by religious dogma.
In the first instance we have them wanting government to literally force its way into our most private moments.
In the second they are trying to permit corporations to play a role and deny part of our own health care in the name of religion.
One begins to wonder if the declaration of independence and the constitution are worth the paper they are written on.
The reasoning:
If you use contraception you are a slut.
If you want an abortion you are evil.
Therefore we have a war on women's rights.
They don't care about rape, poverty, disease, equal pay or the real consequences of their actions; they just want the right to decide how we live.
This goes far beyond religion and into the realms of power and control; barefoot and pregnant indeed. These are tactics of oppressors and not of "righteous" people.
It goes way beyond abortion, it goes to the very heart of who we are and how we live; it is all about control.
