My favorite statement by Pope Francis:
“The thirst for power and possessions knows no limits. In this system, which tends to devour everything which stands in the way of increased profits, whatever is fragile, like the environment, is defenseless before the interests of a deified market, which become the only rule.”
Basically, like 90% of humankind, the Pope wants to do something...anything...to stop the depravity of the corrupt, fascist system known as "Capitalism"...
Before getting to Rush the Lush taking on the Pope and calling him a Commie, Fox Business host Stuart Varney deserves the Worst Hypocrite in the World award. He thinks the Pope is getting too political, and actually implies this might be the first time any religious person has ever thought of mixing religion and politics! He's shocked I tell you!
“I go to church to save my soul,” Varney said. “It’s got nothing to do with my vote. Pope Francis has linked the two. He has offered direct criticism of a specific political system. He has characterized negatively that system. I think he wants to influence my politics.”

Like most educated people, our new Progressive Pope thinks the Gilded Age II is a shitburger sandwich for 95% of the people on the planet.
As to his "mixing politics," well Mr Varney, how's about you go talk to some Baptist, Evangelical, and conservative Catholic folks about mixing politics? They can't seem to stop talking about women's private parts or how to let guys get away with raping them. They can't stop talking about abortions or gay people. Did you do a segment on that? Pathetic.
Now Rushbo thinks someone has gotten to the Pope. It's a conspiracy I tell you!
He also said that up to now he had admired the new pope, if he also thought that Pope Francis was putting on the “common man touch” a bit too thick. “I thought there might have been a little bit of PR involved there,” he said.
But the new pronouncement, the pope’s latest Evangelii Gadium, or Joy of the Gospel, was a surprisingly frontal attack on capitalism, with Francis calling it a form of tyranny.
That didn’t sit well with Limbaugh. “Somebody has either written this for him or gotten to him,” Rush said. “This is just pure Marxism coming out of the mouth of the pope.”

Good job Raw Story with your own reporting on those two stories.
And maybe this Pope will lead the world against the depravity of the 1% who are on track to committing the ultimate sin: destruction of the environment and making it unfit for the survival of the human race and thousands of other species.
Satan's got NOTHING on what the 1% has done and what they have planned for our planet and its inhabitants.
Stuart Varney knows EVERYTHING is political. Everything.
