So red state Democrats like Senator Mary Landrieu (D. LA) did the right thing and joined their party in going nuclear on President Obama's judicial nominees, ending the Republicans obstructionist tactics from preventing the government from working better. Well one right wing Super PAC is aiming to demonize Landrieu for doing the right thing:

A conservative group is taking to the airwaves in Louisiana Monday to attack Sen. Mary Landrieu (D) for supporting President Obama's judicial nominees.
"Mary Landrieu voted for every one of Obama's liberal activist judges," says the narrator of the 30-second ad from the Judicial Crisis Network.
The ad also goes after Landrieu for supporting a measure to eliminate filibusters in the Senate for most presidential nominees, a maneuver known as the "nuclear option."
"Landrieu even helped change the rules to pack a key court with new liberal judges," the narrator says. - Washington Post, 12/2/13
Here's a little more info:

It's the latest of several attack ads launched by conservative and Republican groups against Landrieu, who is seeking a fourth term in the November 2014 election. She faces two Republican challengers: U.S. Rep. Bill Cassidy and retired Air Force Col. Rob Maness, who has the support of several tea party organizations.
Landrieu's campaign called the ad "blatantly false," saying the list of judges named in the spot as getting votes of support from Landrieu includes judges who were confirmed with bipartisan majorities and two nominees who never received a vote and weren't confirmed.
The senator's campaign also said Landrieu was part of a bipartisan group of senators that worked to confirm judges chosen by former President George W. Bush. - The Republic, 12/2/13
The ad also goes after Landrieu for helping end obstruction:

The ad also takes a swipe at Landrieu for supporting a recent, controversial Senate rules change that weakens the power of the filibuster and makes it easier to approve most of Obama's judicial nominees.
In a statement about the Senate rules change, Landrieu was quoted by the Times Picayune as saying it was necessary because some GOP senators "have distorted and misused the power of the minority to obstruct and stop progress on important issues."
The Judicial Crisis Network ad is the second on this topic. The conservative group also targeted Sen. Mark Pryor, D-Ark., with a similar commercial that ran in Arkansas for two weeks. - USA Today, 12/2/13
I can't say that I'm surprised that right wing groups are going after Democrats like Landrieu for help changing the filibuster rules. They don't want the government to work or be effective while Obama is President and the Democrats control the U.S. Senate. I also find it to be yet another desperate attack from right wing groups to try and tear down Landrieu because they have weak Republican candidates that can't excite the base. And the candidates that the fringe GOP base want to see run don't have the stomach for it, like this guy:

A state senator considering a conservative bid for Senate in Louisiana has opted out of the race, and is instead backing Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) in his challenge to Sen. Mary Landrieu (D).
State Sen. Elbert Guillory (R), who has switched parties twice since 2007, endorsed Cassidy in the race, calling on supporters "to join me in rolling up your sleeves, getting to work, for Louisiana’s next Senator — Dr. Bill Cassidy."
Guillory told the Times-Picayune that he decided to support Cassidy after multiple conversations with him, and said he believes "there's a need for us to unify and pull together."
He suggested Cassidy would be a "departure" from the problems in Washington.
"I believe we should be doing something different and I believe Dr. Cassidy will represent a major departure toward values and away from the idiocy that we read on the front pages coming out of Washington," Guillory said. - The Hill, 12/2/13
Of course this guy will certainly be a headache for Cassidy:

Cassidy still has GOP opposition. Rob Maness, an Air Force veteran, Entergy employee and farmer from Madisonville, is running and has received the backing of the Senate Conservatives Fund, which is now raising money on his behalf. - The Times-Picayune, 12/2/13
As Republicans hold their noses and get behind Cassidy, lets help make sure Landrieu defeats her GOP opposition next year. You can click here to donate or get involved with her campaign:
