Welcome to Thursday Coffee Hour. This is an open topic thread so help yourself to the goodies and sit a spell and let us know what is new with you. I loved stuffed animals. I have collected them all my life. I have a J. Fred Muggs stuffed animal that I have has since 1955. He went to college with me.
There is something very comforting about stuffed animals. I think children instinctively know that their favorite animal is in a very real sense alive and will be there for them. I know J. Fred has heard all of my problems and been there for me through thick and thin. He has been with me in the hospital. He was with me through the tears of my parents and brother's deaths. He was with me and gave me strength through an abusive marriage.
One of the nice thing about having my own place is that all of my stuffed animals are out. Some live on the bed and some in the computer room. J. Fred and Valentine the magical unicorn live on the bed. Valentine had received many hugs when I'm stressed. Reid and I believe that the unicorn has magical properties because since his arrival in my house I have been able to solve some huge problems. I have him working on some problems now.
It is your turn. Tell us about the stuffed animals or other friends that you grew up with.
