There's nothing like living in a world of complete and utter make-believe. The liberal's view (or in this case, plastic bubble) where everyone is given the best education, has a roof over their head, food in their bellies, and wakes up in a new Bugatti. Where healthcare is free and so are the phones. Where everyone sets aside personal differences to work for the benefit of the society as a whole. A liberal utopia where everyone is equal.
The 'enlightened elite' (as they often think of themselves) are too concerned with their next fight, their next cause, or other altruistic crusade to look at our present society for what it is - the single greatest way for people to elevate themselves, manufacture wealth, and improve their lives in the history of the world.
What you're left with is leftist societal pariahs tirelessly fighting for the next social welfare program to benefit the minority at the expense of the majority. As one of their programs after another is written into law, they applaud and cheer as the walls come crumbling down around them. As the program slides into obscurity and utter failure (as the majority of gov't programs inevitably do), they are content with passing the buck, merely stating that 1%'ers didn't do enough.
When the majority in this country see a program as being damaging to the populous as a whole, the liberals refer to these citizens in this country as 'right wing kooks' or the 'fringe element'. The thought never crosses their mind that the logistics of their latest pet project just don't add up. That the CBO (Congressional Budget Office) says their latest social welfare program just can't be paid for. They just can't believe that their insurance rates just doubled after falling for the latest lie from the Obama administration. Instead, they look on with eyes sparkling, like cartoon characters from a Japanese anime program, eagerly awaiting the next societal malaise to be forced down society's throats. So as Obamacare crashes and burns, we'll no doubt next turn our focus to immigration reform. One more thing that will help bankrupt the country (even though we're technically already bankrupt) even faster. At least the leftists can at least feel good about themselves as they help the 20,000,000 illegal immigrants, who are 'just here to create a better life for their families', add piles to our national debt.
Enter the members of dailykos.com. This week's official 'Idiot of the week" is a member by the name of RenMin commenting on a grass roots effort to enact Article V of the Constitution which I wrote about. If you're up for a good laugh, here's a link to Renmin's article on the dailykos.com.
In typical leftist elitist fashion, the author is too busy talking down to people to realize the hypocritical undertones that shine through in their article. In the first two paragraph's, Renny goes on to say dissenters are 'generally full of shit', while complaining that the right wingers won't allow for a 'civil discourse' in the next. Meanwhile, Renny goes on to become concerned that these 'crackpots' might pose a threat to 'our democracy' because 2/3rds of the states (aka, the democratic majority) want to see amendments like term limits and a balanced budget added to the constitution - heaven forbid.
The hilarity doesn't end there, as Renny goes on to remiss about how the states of New York and California's population probably equal that of 2/3rds of the states - basically stating we should ignore the rights of the states and Article V of the Constitution. The naivety or arrogance of the author is simply astounding. Whichever state Renny lives in (both of which are having serious problems meeting their fiscal responsibilities), NY or CA has the power to enact whatever social welfare programs it's citizens deem worthy.
That's the beauty of living in a state Renny! Suffer under all the social programs you want. However, it seems that even when you live in one of the bluest states, doctor's don't like what they're seeing under the Obamacare exchanges..."Despite being one of the bluest states in the country and one of the first to implement state based Obamacare exchanges, doctors in California are boycotting Obamacare...a whopping 70 percent of them." - from Ctizens United quoting a Washington Examiner article.
As I stated in my other article. It doesn't matter if you're the reddest of conservatives or bluest of liberals, you can't argue with math, and Obamacare and many other liberal social pet projects just simply do not add up.
