Organized labor is making good on it's promise to go after Republican Governors like Rick Snyder (R. MI) for passing right-to-work laws and the General President of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, James P. Hoffa, is backing Snyder's opponent, Mark Schauer (D. MI):
Michigan’s “Right to Work” law isn’t about rights and isn’t about workers. It’s an all-out attack on middle-class families that drives down wages and threatens job security.
On December 11, one year ago, Gov. Rick Snyder signed this divisive law behind closed doors without a single hearing, even though he promised he wouldn’t.
Snyder’s opponent Mark Schauer, on the other hand, has stood up for unions and workers’ rights. He even got pepper sprayed last year when he joined 12,000 people to protest the law! Mark has our back.
Now it’s time we have his. Stand with me by clicking here and rushing a contribution to Mark’s campaign today.

Snyder and his friends say “Right to Work” is supposed to create jobs, but it’s not working. With a 9 percent unemployment rate, Michigan now has the third worst rate in the nation.
This law is bad for unions, bad for workers and bad for the state of Michigan. We can’t allow Snyder and his Republican allies to continue to erode our rights and destroy our economy.
We need to make sure Mark has the support he needs to defeat Rick Snyder and repeal Michigan’s Right to Work law. Can I count on you to click here and donate today?

With Mark Schauer on our side, I believe we can restore Michigan to the pro-worker state it once was.
All the best,
James P. Hoffa
President of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters
As the grandson of a Teamster, I'm very happy that Schauer has Hoffa's backing. Please do contribute to his campaign:
