Hey, buddy, watch what you are doing! does not equal taking away guns. Wouldn't it have been nice if she had been counseled to keep her son away from guns while he was struggling. She knew there were problems. Wouldn't it have been nice if she would have been easily in touch with people willing to help her? Wouldn't it have been nice if she could have called an intervention group from her local shooting range to help her through the rough patch.

Wouldn't it be nice if gun owners stressed Hey, buddy, watch what you are doing! to eachother.

.

Once again I find myself waiting for the stragglers to catch up. "How many deaths will it take till he learns, that too many people have died."

.

And this is my hard won boilerplate. Hewn against the rough objections of many, the slings and misfortunes of mud. Thank you. I couldn't have done it without you.

1. Improper storage of a gun - loss of physical possession of the gun - no matter the outcome - loss of privilege gun ownership for many many years.

2. Improper handling of a gun - gun discharged inappropriately - no matter the outcome - loss of privilege gun ownership for many many years.

3. Limiting of gun kill speed

4. Limiting of gun ownership speed.

“I have HOPE, hope that because of this new coalition of Americans, "change is gonna come". Newtown is no longer just a place, but a movement.”

“We are all Newtown and we are all Hartford. And Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit, Aurora, Tucson, Virginia Tech, and Columbine. We all stand united in our quest to end the parade of pain. We all seek peace. PEACE.”

“We are all Newtown. We choose love. LOVE! Honor with action.”
~Monte Frank

Americans from very different communities are locking arms and honoring the memories of the more than 30,000 victims of gun violence since 12/14 by performing acts of kindness. In this way, those lost to gun violence will be honored with action.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
