Happy Friday again, beer lovers! Come in and share a cold one.
American craft brewers are creating some pretty remarkable beers, and the level of competition makes it ever harder to get your brew to stand out among the oceans of ale coming from more and more brewers.
But some of them make me wonder, do I want to drink that?
I've written this before, haven't I? Get off my lawn, you purveyors of weird beer! I know if I don't like the sound of it I don't have to drink it, especially since I probably couldn't get any of these even if I wanted to.
All these via Beerpulse:
- Night Shift Brewing (Everett MA) introduces JoJo Pink IPA (with hibiscus flowers)
- Terrapin Beer Co (Athens GA) introduces Pineapple Express Smoked Pineapple Helles
- Breckenridge Brewery (Denver CO) introduces Ophelia Hoppy Wheat. This idea is not new or unique but I've never had a hoppy wheat I could finish a glass of. (their label artwork is awesome though).
I'm just back from my Christmas visit to family in Ventura CA, and can testify that craft brewing on the Central Coast is thriving. I've got Tap-It IPA from San Luis Obispo. It's not pink. What are you drinking?
