Because of the effects of my cancer surgery (14 years clean), I get up at zero dark thirty most days. Once I'm up, I'm awake and unless I want to down a couple of shots of booze, I stay awake. Just the way it is.
So what to do? Check in here and some other sites to see what's happening and then cruise on over to Youtube for a music fix. You know the drill, after the first tune check what's on the side bar and maybe see a live performance by someone you like but missed that particular song.
So I see a Bob Dylan/Susan Tedeschi version of "It takes a lot to laugh, it takes a train to cry". Over on the side bar is Allman Brothers Band ~ Don't Think Twice w/Susan Tedeschi. OK lets see how they interpret it. Well its pretty sweet and I make the mistake of reading the comments. Down a bit is this gem:
WTF, nobody should be playing Derek's SG, except Derek.
Yes, Susan is picking a red SG. And golly gee that's the same model as Derek Trucks'. However at the one minute mark the camera pans over to Derek and he's playing a red SG too.
Bangs head on desk.
Jimi is the best.
Steve Ray is the best.
Eric Clapton is God!!!!!!!!!!!
And on and on.
Unless there is some historical significance to be gleaned from the comments, I will try not to scroll into the stupidity.
A little something to re-balance the universe.
