This will be a short one but I think this is the best way to start the week:

Steven Seagal told television station KNXV last week that he's had discussions with Sheriff Joe Arpaio about mounting a gubernatorial bid in Arizona.
The actor and martial arts expert said that the idea of launching a campaign was initially "kind of a joke," but that he would "remotely consider it."
Seagal said he believes that "open borders" represent the biggest problem in the United States.
He is a member of Arpaio's posse, a band of civilians dedicated to aiding the controversial sheriff's crusade against illegal immigration. - TPM, 1/6/14
Of course Seagal floated the idea when promoting the new season of his reality TV show,
Steven Seagal—Lawman: Maricopa County, so it could be just a publicity stunt. But I'm neither going to completely laugh about the idea of Seagal running for Governor or Arizona nor am I going to completely write off his chances. I mean this guy won a recall election to become Governor of California:
Stay tuned.
