Sorry about this super-super short diary, but the David Wildstein Committee Meeting in the New Jersey statehouse is just starting:
http://new.livestream.com/...
It's a live stream, so I don't believe I can do any direct link to the video itself in this diary.
10:14 AM PT: First answer: Pleads the Fifth.
10:17 AM PT: Second answer: Fifth.
10:19 AM PT: And several more Fifths. Lawyer answers every question will draw the same answer.
10:20 AM PT: And so it goes. Fifth, Fifth, Fifth.
Won't even acknowledge an email is an email.
10:24 AM PT: Chair is asking about page 757--yesterday, we only got 22 pages of material. There might be something useful out of this, though so far, nothing I haven't seen yet.
10:26 AM PT: Chair is dealing with the redacted documents.
10:28 AM PT: Lawyer claims outside scope and/or date range.
10:40 AM PT: Chair asking about individual documents. Fifths down the line.
10:44 AM PT: Vice Chair is up now, same deal though.
10:52 AM PT: At this point, we're just waiting for the end of this hearing for the Chair to decide what to do with Wildstein. There very well may be contempt charges.
11:03 AM PT: Here we go. Chairman cites rules that would hold Wildstein in contempt.
Lawyer claims Fifth trumps those rules.
11:06 AM PT: Vote on Contempt.
11:17 AM PT: Wildstein Found In Contempt!
