See?  I told you Kathleen Sebelius was up to no good!  Now the next step: Threatening her with perjury charges.  I may not be a lawyer but that's O.K.  This is good for my campaign contributions!
Looks like Inspector Darrell Issa is at it again, going after U.S. Health & Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.

Only this time, he has taken it one step further:

House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) on Wednesday accused Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius of providing “false and misleading” testimony to Congress and threatened to open an investigation.

In a letter to Sebelius, Issa said he would give her an opportunity to “clarify or amend” her testimony prior to “further investigative action by the Committee.”

“Providing false or misleading testimony to Congress is a serious matter,” Issa warned in the letter. “Witnesses who purposely give false or misleading testimony during a Congressional hearing may be subject to criminal liability.”

“With that in mind, I write to request that you correct the record and to implore you to be truthful with the American public about matters pertaining to ObamaCare going forward,” he continued.

Furthermore:
The 12-page letter details testimony Sebelius gave before the Oversight panel that Issa says differs from his independent investigation into security testing of HealthCare.gov before its launch.

Issa said he would give Sebelius time to review and alter her testimony before moving ahead with an investigation.

“Prior to further investigative action by the Committee, we thought it prudent to write you and invite you to reflect on your testimony,” he wrote. “Should it be necessary to clarify or amend your testimony, then we request you do so as quickly as possible.

HHS spokeswoman Joanne Peters said the agency had received the letter and would respond directly to the committee.

Note that the Hill mentions Darrell Issa as saying: The 12-page letter details testimony Sebelius gave before the Oversight panel that Issa says differs from his independent investigation into security testing of HealthCare.gov before its launch

Well, we all know how "independent" Issa's investigations tend to be so what reason to we have to believe that Issa's facts and information are truly objective?

Here's Issa's full letter to Sebelius:  http://oversight.house.gov/...

I guess Darrell Issa really is going after HHS and Kathleen Sebelius after the HHS gave him the middle finger:

http://www.politico.com/...

The Health and Human Services Department told House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa that it won’t turn over documents related to the security of the Healthcare.gov website because it can’t trust him to keep secret information that could give hackers a roadmap to wreak havoc on the system.

Issa has issued a subpoena to MITRE, a government contractor, to turn over unredacted copies of security-testing documents by noon Friday. At issue are website development plans MITRE drafted for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which is under HHS. Already, Issa has been given access to the documents he seeks “in camera” — meaning committee staff were able to review them in a room but not keep them — but he is seeking physical copies.

In a letter Thursday, Assistant Secretary for Legislation Jim Esquea told Issa that “the committee’s unwillingness to commit to undertake measures to address the security risks associated with further disclosure is troubling, particularly in light of reports that sensitive materials were disclosed through various investigations.” Administration officials worry that Issa intends to put them in the public domain, which Esquea argues could compromise the security of the site.

But of course, Darrell Issa won't quit.  He CAN'T quit.  He needs his campaign contributions and to continue to generate fundraising for the GOP.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
