Turns out people don't like dicks after all!
Q-poll:
In the wake of "Bridgegate," the George Washington Bridge traffic scandal, several measures of New Jersey Gov. Christopher Christie's 2016 presidential prospects are down, as he trails former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton 46 - 38 percent, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll released today.

This compares to the results of a December 11 survey by the independent Quinnipiac University showing Gov. Christie at 42 percent and Secretary Clinton at 41 percent. The December results were almost identical to those of a November 13 survey.

Those surveys in November and December came at the Democrats' polling nadir, during the disastrous Obamacare rollout. Still, a nine-point swing in a single month?

What's funny is that Christie, eight points behind, is still the strongest contender against Hillary. She beats Rand Paul 49-39, Ted Cruz 50-35, and Jeb Bush 49-38.

In Republican primary match-ups, Christie went from 17 percent in a 10-man field, to 12 percent. Paul Ryan seems to have scooped up most of that support, going from nine to 13 percent. Interestingly, Cruz also saw a big drop, from 13 to nine percent. He better shut something down soon, or he might lose even more support!

In Democratic primary match-ups, Clinton gets 65 percent to Joe Biden's eight and Andrew Cuomo's 3 (ha ha!). They include Elizabeth Warren for some bizarre reasons, and she's at seven percent. Really, there is no Democratic primary if Hillary runs.

Back to Christie, a month ago, 49 percent of respondents thought he would make a good president. That's down to 35 percent today. So from half, to barely a third. That's pretty much an epic collapse. And this scandal is nowhere near its conclusion.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
