“I had a call this afternoon from Idaho, the gentleman said, ‘If I give you 250,000 Marines to go to Washington, will you lead them?’” Vallely said as the group laughed and gasped. “I said, ‘Yes, I will, I’ll surround the White House and I’ll surround the Capitol building, but it’s going to take physical presence to do things.”
I am a simple American. Every day, I teach our children the rights and responsibilities of the Constitution and being an American Citizen. I have thoroughly studied our history both in University and in further exploration to better explain it to Middle School Students.
I love my own children and live for them every day, as well as my wonderful wife. I intend to stay alive to take care of them and protect them.
However, if you were truly stupid enough to march an army on my nation, on my capitol, on my government, I would drive up and stand between your "army" and my government. I may be one untrained man. I would die quickly. I would not resist. But you, friend, are on the wrong side of history, here. You swore an oath to protect this country? Just because you disagree with the democratically elected government doesn't mean you get to go in and put yourself in charge.
This sounds over dramatic, but if he is going to play heroic fantasies in his mind, I'll partake in it. Just think about it, sir. If you see yourself at the head of an army toppling the United States Government, know that you will have to drive your tanks over average citizens who work hard every day to make this country better.
I don't love everything my government does. I don't agree with everything Obama does. I didn't like things Bush did. But if anyone is foolish enough to think they have the right to come in with force and change things, know that I and others like me will stand in front of you.
