So Zimmerman lucked out by having no witnesses when he murdered Trayvon. So when I see two cases like the one where this guy Dunn murders a black teen and an old crotchety ex cop murders a white young father in a movie theater with many witnesses, you would think such cases would be slamdunk against the defendents, right?
Here is a good liveblogging linkof what is going with this case.

For those not in the loop, here is an introductory link to the murder of Jordan Davis by Michael Dunn.
Michael Dunn, on trial in the killing of an unarmed black teenager during a dispute over loud music, on Tuesday recounted their fatal confrontation, testifying that before shooting he saw a barrel of a gun and feared for his life.
Dunn, 47, is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting of Jordan Davis, 17, at a Jacksonville, Fla. convenience store in November 2012. Dunn has also pleaded not guilty to three counts of attempted murder for firing at three of Davis’ friends.
“Jordan Davis kept escalating this until the point I had no choice,” Dunn testifying. “It was life and death.”
Dunn, who is white, said he and his fiancée had left a wedding reception and were heading home when they stopped at the store and pulled into a spot next to a Durango SUV. “Thumping” music came from the vehicle and Dunn asked those on the vehicle to lower the volume. The sound initially went down. But it was turned back up at Davis’ request, other witnesses have testified.
Responding to questions from his attorney, Cory Strolla, Dunn said he has ear damage and the music “caused him pain.”
The dispute kept getting worse, the defendant said. He testified that one of the teens, using an expletive, said "I should kill" Dunn. "There was no mistake in what he said,” Dunn said from the stand. He went on to describe seeing “two young men with menacing expressions” in the car.
Dunn said he asked, “Are you talking about me?”
Dunn testified that he tried to de-escalate the situation, but he said the teenager was “showing me a gun and he's threatening me. I was in fear of my life.”
He said he couldn't believe what was happening and was frozen in his seat. Dunn said he saw the door move and thought he was going to be killed, but he said he still didn't go for his gun. Dunn testified that Davis then said, “You’re dead."
"This is the point where my death is imminent,” said Dunn. He testified that he responded, “You're not going to kill me.”
Dunn said he saw about four inches of what he thought was the barrel of a shotgun.
Angela Corey better not fuck up this case. She fucked up the Trayvon Martin case and now she is on her way to making a slam dunk case not 100% slam dunk anymore judging by the racists who are tweeting some doubts about the case. And we have the same person who messed up the Trayvon case make a repeat appearance here - John Guy(At least according to CNN Headline News). I cannot believe this idiot prosecutor is not nailing him to the point about why he didn't call the cops. He keeps focusing on trivial details when this murderer is serving up bigger WTF moments. THe prosecutor is almost there, but not quite. Michael Dunn is one smug bastard. Nothing is ever his fault. I am not a classic liberal, but if this guy goes scottfree, I hope .. well, I will express what I really feel in my own personal blog. The prosecutor John Guy would be 90% there in the questioning about why he didn't call the cops, but was unable to phrase the questioning in such a way to make it crystal clear that as irrational as Dunn concedes not calling the cops may be, then it still does not gibe with the fact that he confessed to being scared the gangsters would come back for him at the hotel. Guy did ask if he thought the dog would protect him since he left the guy in the car.
At that point, wouldn't it be a good idea to ask him "well if you thought it was a good idea to call the pizza guy to calm down your girlfriend, why wouldn't calling the cops calm down your girlfriend while solving your problem of a possible retaliation?" The prosecutor would ask all the questions, but never connect them together. Sure , what we saw already on the stand should fry him. But we are used to dumbass juries in FL. And if they are representative of the reaction CNN has been getting form the viewers, it just takes one racist juror to hold up the process.
Angela Corey must go. It's too bad for the ex cop in the Florida theater that he had the misfortune of shooting a white guy because I don't think he is going ot get away with murder there. (no offense to what white victim with my sarcasm and my sympathies to his family too as that cop should be gone for life too for destroying that poor white guy's life).
What is in the water in FL?
The biggest revelation in this case - the murderer's own girlfriend has contradicted him on the stand on two big points - he never told her that the black teens had a gun, and he did tell her as soon as they drove into the gas station that was sick of thug music. Dunn claims that he never said that and that his fiancée must have gotten it wrong.
This killer also blames the cops for not retrieving the mystery shotgun . Somehow they are so incompetent that they could not find this weapon that he claims that was aimed at him.
I got nothing insightful. Just had to vent. I saw no other diaries today to vent on. So join in the vents or add some analysis.
[UPDATE]: So this is why I hate so many lawyers. When they do analysis of this case on the networks, some of them are actually saying the defendant would have come across as credible to some extent if his fiancée didn't undercut him on the stand. Say what? Just because a smug asshole just repeats the same lie every single time without stuttering and he just happens to maintain enough eye contact, that means he is credible? I watch 48 hours and Dateline type shows a lot. THis is not the first smug bastard to take the stand. I have seen other defendants look even more credible than this guy and the jury had no problem finding them guilty and there was even less evidence in those cases.
Let me illustrate how stupid those who find any ounce of credibility in his testimony taken in isolation. Let's say one of these mild supporters meets me at a party. We have a political argument. I then ask him to shut up. He doesn't. Then he reaches for a wallet. I just shoot him saying I thought I was in trouble. All hell breaks loose and everyone is scattered around., I shoot some more in the direction of he and his friends. Then I ran away with my fiancé out of the area and go to a hotel. I never call the cops until they meet me the next day. Gee, but I would resolutely repeat my lie again and again on the stand saying it doesn't matter what you think happened, I know what happened and I will look the prosecutor in the face and lie every single time that "yes , I saw a gun, the cops just were too stupid to find one".
