I've just returned from my daughter's field trip to Mission San Juan Bautista (I have less than 40 minutes before posting time). It was a beautiful day beginning with fog in the morning, but the sun found its way to our shoulders and backs just before lunch. We are very lucky here in the Bay Area and we try not to take it for granted. The kids enjoyed walking along the San Andreas Fault and exploring the stable and jail. I preferred the mission and sanctuary but as my five charges showed me, the field trip isn't about me. I tried to take pictures but it seemed like I always had one eye on them so I snapped very quickly and moved on. Here are a few from today.
My 5 charges.

Kitchen Table Kibitzing is a community series for those who wish to share part of the evening around a virtual kitchen table with kossacks who are caring and supportive of one another. So bring your stories, jokes, photos, funny pics, music, and interesting videos, as well as links—including quotations—to diaries, news stories, and books that you think this community would appreciate. Readers may notice that most who post diaries and comments in this series already know one another to some degree, but newcomers should not feel excluded. We welcome guests at our kitchen table, and hope to make some new friends as well.
