Cost Benefit Analysis Doesn't Matter When Human Life Is a Factor
Just caught the debate on “Meet the Press” between Bill Nye and Tennessee Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn.
It didn’t seem like much of a debate. With all the extreme weather occurrences around the world I don’t think anyone has a real argument that implies "it isn't really happening" or "what the effects are". Republican’s, back by the interests of the oil and energy industry, would have you believe it isn't their fault. It’s natural. Or they would suggest that the cure is too costly and we should “make a study” and “kick the can down the road even further”.
Marsha Blackburn just kept emphasizing we need to do a “Cost Benefit Analysis”. She accused the other side at being “too goal oriented”.
Do you remember this kind of talk? It came from business in the 1960’s and 1970’s. They believed that “human life could be measured in dollars”.
“Ford waited eight years because it’s internal "cost-benefit analysis, “which places a dollar value on human life, said it wasn't profitable to make the changes sooner.”

Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn’s words are particularly troubling as she is once again suggesting that
human life can be measured in terms of dollars as she suggests we need to do a cost benefit analysis.
Tsunamis, Floods, Hurricanes, Snow Storms, Droughts, and Earthquakes are killing millions while Marsha Blackburn and other business minded Republicans weigh humanity against corporate profits.
We should do a “Cost Benefit Analysis” over whether we can afford to keep electing Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn and people like her to Congress…

Looks like Business oriented Republican’s have been responsible for WARMING, both inside and outside cars, for a long time now.
