Local New Jersey news organizations yesterday have uncovered the identity of the Christie Crime Family member who previously was only identified as 'Chips' in emails and communications. The identify of Port Authority Officer Thomas (Chips) Michaels, has been discovered as it related to the Family's September 9-12 attack on the George Washington Bridge access lanes in Fort Lee.
Chips is believed to be a mid-levil capo in the Christie Crime Family. Capo Chips was seen as David Wildstein's enforcer in the terrorist attack. The New Jersey news sources noted that Officer Chips was tasked by the Family with overseeing the building of the traffic barriers by Port Authority's Bridge staff. These actions near totally paralyzed the Town of Fort Lee for some four days in September. One of the outcomes of the attack was the death of 91 year-old Fort Lee resident who died of a heart attack, when emergency medical teams were critically delayed in providing medical assistance to the elderly woman. During the attack, Chips was Wildstein's driver, and took him on a tour of the devastation. It is not known whether Capo Chips was a Christie Family mole at the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, who's sole role was to carry out the Sept terrorist attack, or whether he was a long time employee of the PA, who was recruited by the Christie Crime Family specifically for this attack.
In earlier news, local New Jersey networks noted that Officer Chips had been friends with Governor when the two grew up in Livingston, NJ. Some claims were made that Officer Chips, in fact, had been Governor Christie's son's soccer coach.
In a hastily called press conference this morning in Trenton, Governor Christie again denounced the bridge lane closure as a "well-intentioned traffic study that may have been poorly supervised and went out of control" and the Governor also noted that "the actions of the Port Authority officer known as Chips Thomas" were "misguided and just plain wrong".
When asked at the press conference if he knew Officer Thomas from his days growing up in Essex County, Governor Christie stated emphatically "while our families may have been close friends in Livingston when we were growing up, I have no memory of ever having met Officer Thomas". In addition, the New Jersey Governor stated that "as far as Officer Chips having been my son's soccer coach, let me state clearly, to the best of my knowledge, I do not have a son, or at least no staff member has informed me of having a son."
